Pogba, 22, left United to join Juventus when his contract
expired in 2012 when Ferguson had expected the midfielder to agree a new
one-year deal.
Ferguson wrote in his new book "Leading" that Pogba's agent was responsible for the
move, but Raiola has responded by saying he was merely doing his job and
claiming it would have benefited him more if Pogba had stayed at Old Trafford.
Ferguson never selected Pogba in United's first-team
starting XI, and the former Premier League champions received just £800,000 in
compensation for a player who has since starred for France and Juventus and is
now valued at around £70 million.
Raiola argued Ferguson, who admitted he dislikes the agent,
is wrong in his assessment of Pogba as he launched a defence of his actions.
