Kevin De
Bruyne has announced he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Michele
Lacroix.
Just weeks
after swapping the Bundesliga for the Premier League in a £54million move, De
Bruyne spoke of his delight at the news on Twitter on Monday evening.
He said: 'I
can't wait for my little one to know how lucky he is to have this woman as his
mother!!'
Lacroix
revealed the sex of the baby with a message on Instagram: 'One great man in my
life, second on the way.'
De Bruyne's
long-term girlfriend has travelled to various sporting events to support the
Belgian star, including the World Cup, in Brazil, last summer.
Manchester
City's record signing has hit the ground running at the Etihad, netting in his
last three matches in all competitions.
However, De
Bruyne's inclusion in the team has coincided with two defeats in their last two
for City.
Despite the
team's poor form, De Bruyne has netted both of City's goals in matches against
West Ham and Tottenham.
